BCBG's 2012 Collection

As a serious BCBG fan ever since I was a teenager, you could image my excitement when I headed to the St Regis Resort to watch the BCBG Fashion Extravaganza runway show. With a pristine reputation in the fashion community, the brand has been a favorite of celebrities, fashionistas, and women of all ages.

The brand has always been on point with the latest trends-even setting some of them themselves, and with this show, their styles were spot-on for summer. To start the show off, a model walked the runway with a royal blue bandage skirt paired with a racer back tank that fit fantastically. The neutrals mixed with royal blues and purple hues on the blouse made it a stand-put piece.

Next, a model wore an asymmetrical black dress with a blue stripe down the front-adding necessary color to a dress that was otherwise simple.  I absolutely loved a multicolored green, blue and black dress with a tie waist and keyhole neck. It was mid-length and sleeveless and when paired with T-strap heels, was absolutely gorgeous! The same gorgeous green showed up again on a multi-colored sleeveless tank and black bandage skirt. Accented with stylish bangles and pointed toe stilettos, the look could have been worn to work or for a night out.

My favorite piece of the show was a show-stopping patterned dress. With a sophisticated pattern, ruched look and scoop neckline, the model looked fierce and fabulous. Suited for the workplace was a perfectly professional number: a white blouse with blue detailing paired with a knee-length pleated skirt. A similar outfit followed, but instead was black and white and sleeveless. I especially loved the skirt with this one- it was asymmetrical and extra short in the front, adding a perfect amount of sexiness to a more demure style.

Overall, the show was fabulous. The energy was strong, the styles were fashion-forward, and the colors were ideal for season after season. The models’ accessories only added to the beautiful clothing. BCBG, you’ve done it again…well done!
