Thursday night at the Vibiana in downtown Los Angeles, Style Fashion Week hosted their second to last night of fashion shows. The two uniquely distinct female designers, Quynh Nhu of Quynh Paris and Ashna Karla of Ash Haute Couture, showed their collections back to back on the runway to a packed house of viewers at the historic Vibiana converted cathedral in downtown Los Angeles.
Quynh Nhu's line Quynh Paris featured bohemian inspired pieces and a blend of various cultures from across the world. Quynh, a graduate of the French Fashion school Mode' Art International in Paris, uses her Parisian background to blend different aesthetic elements together such as floral embellishments, oriental detailing, and galaxy inspired prints. Her niche for combining categories is even apparent in her haute couture and ready-to-wear collection names including: "We are the World," "From One Season to Another," and Blurred Nature. "Her collection seemed to transform from an underwater aquatic vibe to a futuristic space odyssey adventure. Next the pieces underwent a dip into an oriental phase and finally ending with a flowing bohemian style full of pastel colors and high to low hem lines.

Indian designer Ashna Karla used her fashion branding background and Indian origins to create her beautiful line Ash Haute Couture. The bright colors, and Ashna's attention to detailing in her designs, grabbed viewers attention against the white backdrop of the state. The collection also featured intricate embellishing on the ruffled dresses and tops. Her pieces were fun and flirty, perfect for the modern woman looking for contemporary style made with age-old craftsmanship. Even the pants and matching tops made a strong, yet feminine statement. Ashna knows how to combine all the feminine aspects of ruffles, lace, sparkle and color into one to make the ultimate lady-like dress. Lace covered glasses and silver glitter lips gave each model a mysterious appearance and added to the youthfulness of the collection. The runway show also included Ash's intricately woven clutches with bright eastern patterns that a few of the models carried down the runway.
